Fine compression ensures that the image size is reduced and high JPEG quality maintained in the image. Images are reduced to small sizes using standard compression. This level reduces images to low quality in order to create more space for saving images. Images can be saved in the RAW format.
Images can be taken in dark or bright surroundings and retain the details. This is because of the sensitivity settings the camera has. Lo80 is one of the sensitivity options used for images captured in dark environments. In order to keep the details of the image taken in bright surroundings Hi200 sensitivity setting is used. This setting is used to retain the details of the image in high lights.
The camera uses the Minolta A type mount lens to capture images. Images can be taken with reduced noises when the noise reduction technology is set. The camera is fitted with an anti-blur and anti-dust feature. The anti-dust feature keeps the camera free from dust caused by static electricity. The presence of the user is detected by the proximity sensor when the eye-start AF is on.
Digital cameras in this model have many options for the user. The settings are adjusted according to the needs of users. It has menu buttons placed on the body of the camera. The buttons help you choose the settings you want. The buttons give you the options of replay, reset, delete and format or protect. You can view your images and print the dates taken in the camera.
The camera has a rechargeable battery that is housed in the grip. The battery takes four hours to be charged. You can use an external memory to save your images. It has a memory card slot that is used to insert the memory card. Sony A100 has a dual use connection for USB port or video out connection.
